The TS 130 mm f 7.0 APO-refractor sits in TS’ new photoline telescope series, aimed at both beginner & advanced amateur-astronomers doing AP. With a growing urge to perform some Astro-Photography (AP) I decided to go for an Apochromatic refractor with minimum aperture of 130 mm in order to use it on a Celestron German Equatorial Mount (CGEM) capable of carrying 18 kilograms. I have a keen interest in astronomy for over 30 years and have mainly been “visually” observing the Moon & planets using refractors.

22:23:18, Loek BAEDE "just missed one thing : a cover on the focusser side. 20:03:23, Mohammed Alboqreen "amazing quality, great price" and I've had many including.10 SCT, 7 Mak, 4""Unitron, 9.25 SCT etc. 02:54:56, Joseph IMBESI "This is the BEST Scope Ive ever had OPTICALLY. 05:50:53, Mark Eby "A visual and imaginge star test confirmed excellent optics: no chromatic aberration, symmetrical diffraction pattern, no spikes or harshness often seen with lower-cost telescopes.

Technical InformationTeleskop-Service has collected a lot of helpful information about refractors and provided it in English as a PDF file: Refractors ♦ Recommended distance from the M48 connection thread of the corrector to the chip: 55 mm.Īstrophotographic results obtained with this telescope on AstrobinHere you can find some astrophotographs made with this telescope model: Link to Astrobin ♦ The focal length is reduced to 728 mm, the focal ratio improves to f/5.6. ♦ The corrector is calculated for the 130mm f/7 apo. TS 0,8x PHOTOLINE Reducer and corrector - TSRedM63-130 ♦ Recommended distance from the M69 connection thread of the corrector to the chip: 88 mm.

TS 2.5" full frame size corrector and image field flattening - TSFLAT2.5 Recommended correctors for astrophotography: The lens is not cemented, the lenses are separated by air gaps. The multi-coated lens is stored in a temperature-compensated cell. ♦ Self-centering eyepiece and accessory adapter for 2" and 1.25"įor this telescope, we deliberately chose the high-quality FPL53 as the material for the Apo element in order to offer the best possible optical quality. ♦ Adjustment via rack and pinion - no friction - no yielding as with the Crayford focuser The illumination of the focuser is sufficient for full-frame size sensors. The focuser holds camera-side accessories up to about 5 kg without causing tilting. The 2.5" RAP focuser is a good alternative to the well-known Starlight FeatherTouch FTF25 - with a quality that is very close to this focuser. ♦ An extension piece with M95x1 threaded connection can be unscrewed, thus increasing the working distance from 123 mm to 213 mm. ♦ Sturdy aluminium tube with internal baffles ♦ Direct M68 and M63 thread connection for correctors and reducers

♦ 2.5" RAP Photoline dual-speed rack and pinion focuser - carries accessories up to 5 kg ♦ Temperature compensated, fully adjustable cell ♦ Triplet lens with air gap - apo element made of FPL53 by Ohara A solid metal tube and the new PHOTOLINE RAP 2.5" deluxe focuser with rack and pinion drive make this apochromat a recommendation for the dedicated astrophotographer and the observer.Īdvantages and features of the PHOTOLINE 130-mm-F7-Apo:

The lens, free from chromatic aberration, is mounted in a temperature-compensated cell that also compensates for sub-zero temperatures. The apo element is the proven FPL53 from Ohara (Japan). The 130 mm f/7 triplet refractor is equipped with one of the best lenses in its class. Telescope-Service stands on uncompromising optical and mechanical quality with the PHOTOLINE APO series.
